Thulasi (2007)

This action-oriented drama revolves around Parvataneni Tulasi Ram aka Tulasi (Venkatesh) is a native of Palnadu region. As his region is well known for factional feuds, his father Dasaratha Ramayya (Vijaykumar) keeps him away in Hyderabad. His father encourages him to concentrate on his education, and consequently Tulasi completes his degree in architecture.

While on holiday abroad, he meets and falls in love with Vasundhara aka Vasu (Nayantara). He marries her and they embark on a happy life together. In time, Vasu becomes pregnant with their child and Tulasi takes her to their native place to share his joy with the entire family.

Once back home, however, Tulasi becomes embroiled in a cycle of violence, when his father is targeted by a rival faction. Unable to bear the continuous bloodshed and conflict, Vasu decides to escape it all and leaves with their son Harsha (Atulith), when her brother (Sivaji) dies in the attack by the opposing faction.

Later, Tulasi comes to know that Harsha has a blood clot in his brain and it may cause hemorrhage. With the help of Dr. Surekha (Ramya Krishnan), he summons specialists from abroad to get him operated.

When everything is ready for the surgery, a gangster (Ashish Vidyarthi) abducts the boy, as both of his sons were killed by Tulasi. In the climax, again Tulasi resorts to violence and kills everyone to save his son's life. Learning that violence can also be used to save life, Vasu reunites with Tulasi and the film ends on a happy note.
