Thammil Thammil (1985)

Embedded with foot-tapping tunes and youthful romance, this family-oriented drama revolves around Dr Rajagopalan, who is a straightforward and humorous man. He is married to Gayathri, who is very possessive of him. Vivek is a talented young man, who enjoys performing as a singer and dancer in a troupe. He lives with his parents and sister; they are a loving and close-knit family. When his sister's marriage is fixed with a straightforward sub Inspector of police, Vivek is overjoyed, but a little sad that she would be leaving him to stay with her husband. Vivek soon finds himself falling in love with Kavitha, who is under Dr Rajagopalan's custody. Somehow Vivek convinces his sister and brother-in-law to move into the rented house opposite to Dr Rajagopalan's house. After many attempts, Vivek's perseverance pays off and Kavitha begins to reciprocate his love. How will Dr Rajagopalan react to the young couple's wish to marry? How will his own marriage pan out?
