Sita Shuddhi (1924)

Evocative and provocative, this epic drama revolves around Sita, the Princess of Mithila and daughter of King Janaka. After a competition is conducted to choose the bridegroom who is worthy of her hand in marriage, she marries Lord Rama, Prince of Ayodhya. However, in a twist of fate Rama, Sita and Rama's younger brother Lakshmana are forced to spend 14 years in exile. During this testing period, Sita is kidnapped by the powerful Demon King, Ravana. Rama reaches Ravana's kingdom Lanka and fights him. After defeating Ravana, he frees Sita but requests her to accept a trial by fire to prove her purity to the world. Will Sita exit the fire safely?
