Sharada (1957)

Chiranjeevi lives with his wealthy father and three siblings, two sisters in which one is dumb, and a younger brother. Chiranjeevi takes his ill alcoholic friend to an ashram for treatment where he meets with Sharada who lives a poor lifestyle with her father, and falls in live with her. Chirajeevi decides to return and marry her with his father's permission. He meets with an accident on the way and returns to the ashram for treatment, comes across a shocking news that Sharada is married off to an older man. Chiranjeevi returns home devastated and faces an even bigger shock when his father is married to Sharada. Chiranjeevi gets depressed and frustrated, takes to drinking and becomes an alcoholic, Sharada pushes him to marry Shyama , a woman of reputed family background who discovers that her husband had an affair with his step mother and that they may still have feelings for each other!
