Rajkummar Rao is an Indian film actor. He is popularly known for his work in Hindi cinema and is one of the most prominent and promising artistes in India. He took up method acting at the Film and Television Institute of India. He made his debut in the 2010 experimental anthology film 'Love Sex Aur Dhokha' after which he had starred in several films and gained widespread recognition for his performance in the 2013 blockbuster film 'Kai Po Che'. He had won a National Award for his exemplary performance as Shahid Azmi in the biographical drama 'Shahid'. Rajkkumar has always been passionate towards acting and a proficient dancer since 10th grade, and has worked in several theater plays. He had won the Filmfare award for his role in 'Kai Po Che' and has received critical acclaim for his portrayal of a journalist in the biographical drama Aligarh, which earned him a second nomination for Best Supporting Actor at Filmfare. He is also credited for his unconventional role in the Vikramaditya Motwane directed 'Trapped' which is being released in 2017.
