Prem Nagar (1971)

This emotionally charged romantic drama revolves around Kalyan (Akkineni Nageswara Rao), a handsome young man belonging to a family of wealthy landowners or zamindars. He leads a lavish and luxurious lifestyle, indulging in the pleasures of the senses.

He meets Lata (Vanisri) who works as an air hostess and runs her family. Impressed by her sincerity, Kalyan employs her as his secretary. His interactions with her completely alter his way of life and slowly, he finds himself falling deeply in love with her. He forgets about indulging in unhealthy extravagances and instead, expresses the wish to enter into a committed relationship with Lata.

Instead of rejoicing in the remarkable improvement in Kalyan and encouraging his marriage with Lata, Kalyan's mother rejects their union on the basis of class, stating that no woman from a middle-class family could be her daughter-in-law. The heartbroken Lata begins to stay aloof from Kalyan and the rift between them grows. Can the young lovers find a way to stay together against all odds?
