Pooja (1940)

Pooja is the story of two sister's Rama and Lacchi who vent their frustrations through persecuting each other. Rama's marriage to Darpan falls through and she ends up marrying another. Darpan seeks revenge by raping Lacchi who gives birth to a daughter named Bani. Lacchi leaves Bani to Rama when she lives with her, as she is now widowed. Bani grows up knowing that Rama is her mother all the while not knowing that her aunt is her biological mother.
