Phoolwari (1946)

Lali Chowdhury is a rich girl who lives with her dad, brother and cousin sisters. Lali has come of age and her father finds her three suitors, all of whom lali doesn't like. One day her brother Arun brings home a guest Rajiv who is working as a welfare officer at the neighboring village. Rajiv despises her rude nature and chastises her one time. Eventually Lali and Rajiv fall in love and decide to marry much to the delight of the chowdhury family who like Rajiv. All goes well until Lali on her engagement day reveals that she wanted to insult Rajiv and avenges her humiliation at his hands. What impact will this have on Rajiv and chowdhury family??
