Philippe Rousselot was born on the 4th of September 1945. He is a French cinematographer who began his career as an assistant to Nestor Almendros and emerged as the chief operator. He is known for his work in Diva, Thérèse, The Bear, A River Runs Through It, Dangerous Liaisons, Queen Margot, Thanks Life, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography in 1990 for his work in Henry & June, Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work in A River Runs Through It in 1992 and three César Award for Best Cinematography in 1982 for Diva, 1987 for Thérèse and 1995 for Queen Margot.
