Patang (1993)

Patang is a movie of varied emotions, where the relationship between the city of Mathura and its inhabitants form the main crux of the story. Somra, the son of Jitni, is obsessed with flying kites and is a direct product of circumstances around him, as he finds himself in the middle of happenings in the city. The relationship between Mathura and Jitni, Somra and Jitni, Mathura and the corrupt politicians and criminals who take over the city, against the background of flying kites, and constant death, reveals the story of Somra who becomes the scapegoat and limps reluctantly back to his mother's arms.
