Notes on an Appearance (2018)

A young man's disappearance is at the center of an enigmatic, haunted film set inside New York City apartments, in the middle of violence and demagoguery, leaving behind an obscure cache of letters, postcards, and notebooks. But Todd and Madeleine, who search for the missing man, soon enter the company of strangers promising diversion and intrigue, and the reasons for his disappearance become much less preoccupying and less meaningful.
