NIRMOK is a fantastic Bengali film. It is shot in Purulia and other parts closeby.
This is love story of Shambhu and Mahua. Shambhu is a mask maker who makes his livelihood by selling masks. Shampoo gets shattered when he sees his own father marrying his love Mahua. Shambhu gets mad seeing all the pathetic circumstances around him after that and how he managed to win the situation and runs away with his love Mahua is the story.
Shambhu is played by national award winner hero Manie and mahua is played by priya. Other starcasts include Debesh Roy Chaudhury, Debasis Danda, Arun Banerjee and Santana Basu.
The music is by Bappa Sengupta.
Manie has acted very nicely and brilliantly in the film. Being a South Indian he played the character of the Purulia boy with conviction. Debesh roy Choudhurys acting is also nice in the film. The songs are good.
