Hari lives with his mother and is deeply in love with Sanguni, a beautiful young woman from an impoverished family. A greedy and lustful, but wealthy businessman gets attracted to Sanguni. Her mother, desperate to care for her other young children, decides to sacrifice Sanguni and accepts the wealthy man's proposal of marriage in exchange for money, despite Sanguni's cries for mercy.
