Kinnari Puzhayoram (1994)

Spiced with quirky comedy, this family-oriented drama delves into the comparison and competition between two brothers, who are the sons of a veteran Ayurvedic medical practitioner. He and his wife are at their wits end when it comes to dealing with their younger son, Sreenivasan who is an utter failure at everything, but blames them for not giving him the right opportunities. Siddique, their elder son returns after completing his M. B. B. S. studies, as a well-qualified doctor, and immediately gains the approval and appreciation of his parents, not to mention the villagers at large. Sreenivasan is exceedingly irked by this situation, which only gets much worse when he finds out that Siddique is also in love with their uncle's daughter, whom he too loves. Since the uncle naturally feels more inclined towards offering his hand in marriage to Siddique, who is well-qualified and well-settled, Sreenivasan leaves town for a while and comes back later pretending to be a swami who can heal any sickness. He tries winning his uncle over and at the same time sabotage Siddique's doctor reputation, leading to many hilarious situations. Will Sreenivasan succeed in sabotaging his brother's future? What will happen when the villagers and his own family find the truth about his identity?
