First Bell (1992)

With splashes of humour, this action-oriented suspense drama follows the trials and triumphs in the life of Prabakaran, who is a professional stage actor, along with his friend, Paul Raj. The both of them are quite unsuccessful and have the knack of getting into all kinds of trouble, but they dream of becoming famous and renowned actors. One night, they become witnesses of a cruel and violent kidnapping of a beautiful young woman by a psychiatrist and his crew. When the mother of the young woman collapses in a dead faint after her daughter is carried away, Prabakaran and Paul Raj come to her rescue. The mother claims that Yamuna, her daughter is not mentally ill at all, but was being kidnapped by Krishna Kumar, an evil doctor, in his greedy desire to possess her and her wealth. Taking the older woman's plaintive plea for help to heart, Prabakaran and Paul Raj decide to use their acting skills to help Yamuna be freed from the evil shadow of Dr Krishna Kumar. Will they succeed in this dangerous task?
