Ezhunallathu (1991)

Embedded with quirky comedy and social relevance, this upbeat drama delves into the life of Dasappan, an unemployed young man who lives under impoverished conditions with Subramanium his friend, and dreams of becoming the managing director of a prestigious company someday. Despite being well-educated, Subramanium and Dasappan find themselves unable to find suitable work. Finally, just when Subramanium rejoices after becoming employed as a sales manager, they find themselves in prison on charges of fraud committed by the company. Completely dejected and heartbroken, the friends decide to sell everything they own, have one night of happiness and indulgence, and then commit suicide. It is at this critical juncture, that Joseutty, Subramanium's close friend comes into their life. He gives them hope and reason, taking them along on his journey in search of his father's past. How will their search of the past influence their future? Will Joseutty's search be successful?
