Asha, a 58-year-old oppressed housewife arrives at New Delhi under the pretense of meeting her highly independent 28-year-old daughter Natasha in the hopes of wanting more than just a vacation. Asha reveals her decision of leaving her deeply patriarchal 30 year marriage to her daughter, who has a knee jerk reaction of shock and anger towards the situation. Shunned and gutted, Asha tries to keep her happy facade through oppressive circumstances, until Natasha notices her change and tries to accept her truth. Natasha has a change of heart which is too late for Asha, who might not be welcoming of the daughter's empathy anymore.
