Ek Jhalak (1957)

Pradip a police officer is recruited by Rai bahadur and his wife who request him to search for their daughter who had eloped with her musician lover. Pradip requests for the photo of Mala, and leaves for Bombay to search for the girl so he can return her to her parents. Pradip's search succeeds when he finds her dancing at a hotel under the name, Shobana, and using his charms he dances along with her and convinces her to board a train with him. During this process, they are followed and attacked by a rich man who eye's Shobana, jealously tails them till the central station where he pushes Pradip and engages in a fight where Pradip throws Robin away from the train onto the platform and shuts the door. Shobana demands to learn about his true identity and he reveals himself as a police officer and informs her that she is to be returned to her parents. Shobana claims that she is not Mala and that her identity is mistaken. Is the real Mala being taken back by Pradip or did he mistake Mala's doppelganger??
