American actress and director Brie Larson began her career in acting with television and appeared as a regular in the 2001 sitcom Raising Dad. She was Home-schooled before she had studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater. She had subsequently ascended in the acting graph when she had played supporting roles in the films Greenberg, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and 21 Jump Street. Brie's breakthrough movie of her career was with the independent drama film 'Short Term 12', and received further success for her impeccable performance in the 2015 film 'Room' for which she has received and won several awards at the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Critic's Choice Award, Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress. In early 2016, Larson was cast in Kong: Skull Island, along with Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hiddleston. Brie's first language was French and she had picked her great-grandmother's maiden name, as her surname was too difficult to pronounce. She had launched her career as a singer after releasing her debut album in a major record label in 2005, and has been performing in live concerts throughout the United States since then. She has also directed two short films and will be making her directorial debut in the comedy Unicorn Store. Larson has been in a relationship with musician Alex Greenwald since 2013 and has confirmed the news of her engagement.
