Billion Dollar Baby (2014)

Billion Dollar Baby is a coming-of-age educational, cultural and scientific movie, set against a backdrop of family support and encouragement. The plot focuses on a multifaceted young girl, who dreams of becoming an astronaut, besides exhibiting excellence in Indian and western classical dances as well as fine arts. She also strives to save the environment. As rightly said, “Matru devo bhavh, Pitru devo bhavh, Acharya devo bhavh”, Shriya’s deep desire, coupled with the overwhelming support of parents and watchful guidance of teachers, she is able to achieve her dream and come out with flying colours. The movie kindles a sense of patriotism and feminism. It introduces the concept of Human Flying Systems and ends with a thrilling climax of Mars landing sequence.
