Bandhan (1956)

Bani's granfather had felt a will stating that her parents would inherit thh property if she is married off to a man from a proper brahmin community. Bani's parents are worried but she is unperturbed as she is an ardent devotee of Radhagovind and frequents the temple. The temple priest dies and is succeeded by Amarnath who manages the temple. Bani is disappointed as Amarnath knows nothing of the temple rituals and has a revolutionary idea against religion. In a fit of rage Bani humiliates Amarnath. Fate changes and teaches Bani a lesson when she is forced to marry Amarnath to inherit the family property. They get married but according to the arrangement Amarnath leaves. Bani peacefully prays at the temple but is left with an emptiness in heart due to Amarnaths absence. Will he reunite with her and lead a harmonious life??
