Athang (2016)

This contemporary relationship drama revolves around Shilpa, a talented painter. She falls in love with Dr. Kartik Sardesai (Milind Gawali), who happens to be her neighbour.

Kartik is happily married to Vajju (Smita Shewale), a lawyer. They are expecting their first child and are on top of the world till somebody starts sending love letters and gifts to Kartik. Kartik even receives a painting from this secret lover.

Shocked and hurt by these gifts, Vajju starts doubting Kartik though Kartik tries his best to make her understand that he is innocent and faithful. Their relationship/begins to turn sour day by day, even as Shilpa's secret love intensifies.

He starts getting voice messages and other gifts. Kartik doubts that one of his patients he has cured, might be playing this game on him.
On other hand, Shilpa is happily in her one sided love with Kartik. She dreams about him even makes plans of visiting Taj Mahal on full moon night with him.

One of Shilpa's male friends, who is on medical internship, has full sympathy for her and holds Dr. Kartik responsible for her pain in love. Though Shilpa's lady friend tries to stop her from doing this madness. Shilpa continues sending secret love proposals and gifts, until finally her actions create a split between Kartik and Vajju.

Kartik becomes heartbroken but, when an accident causes shall pass to be admitted in hospital, and Kartik treats her, he begins to get an idea that the cause of all his problems. How will he react? What will the future hold in store for them?
