Arthanaari (2016)

Fast-paced and fiery, this crime thriller traces the twists and turns in the life of a fearless police officer, Sathya (Arundhathi), who is willing to go to any lengths to rescue innocent children, who are being kidnapped by a criminal network.

Her investigation leads her to many small-time criminals, who are working under a mysterious and powerful kingpin. Understanding that she must get to the true mastermind behind all the kidnappings, she begins her attempts to hunt him down.

Meanwhile, Karthik (Ramkumar), a kindhearted young man who believes in being socially accountable, falls in love with her and tries to win her love.

However, when Karthik's guardian Selvamanickam dies one day and he is heartbroken. But, through her investigations, Sathya learns that the old man was actually murdered. Now, Karthik, too, starts hunting down the men whom his lover is trying to find. Which of them will capture the kingpin of the kidnapping racket?
