Aamhi Chamakate Taare (2012)

When the perfect boy – bright, charming, excelling in all areas of life especially academics and all extracurricular activities – is unexpectedly and shockingly diagnosed as being HIV positive, his life is turned upside down. While he was used to receiving love, appreciation and approval from everyone in society, adults and peers alike, he is suddenly forced to endure the pain of rejection and excommunication from society. The discrimination and ignominy he and his family are put through, primarily due to the ignorance and insensitivity of people, leave alone the fear and trauma of his medical condition, and how the family unites to stand up against such injustice, forms the crux of this inspiring tale.
