Trivia:
The sequel will reportedly feature a new set of kids: a 17-year-old named Sarah, her brother Sonny and his best friend Sam.

Jack Black is said to be reprising the voice of Slappy.

At the end of the film, the real R.L. Stein makes a cameo appearance as the presenter of the Science Award.

Due to the busy schedule of the movie "Detective Pikachu", Rob Letterman was unable to return as director for the sequel.

This marks Sony Pictures Animation's 5th live action film.

"Goosebumps 2" marks the first time to have Jack Black and Mick Wingert sharing the role of a different character outside the Kung Fu Panda franchise.

Mick Wingert replaced Jack Black as the voice of Po in various Kung Fu Panda video games and television shows and now in this movie, Wingert takes over Black as the voice of Slappy.

Due to scheduling conflicts with 13 Reasons Why, Dylan Minnette was unable to reprise his role as Zach from the previous installment.

Initially, Kimberly Williams-Paisley was considered for the role of Kathy Quinn.
